Offshore investments and Governance online course

The purpose of this module is to provide an overview of offshore investing and the governance/regulations thereof. This module enables understanding of the basic terminology and legislation around offshore investments and governance. It further provides an overview of the different options available to achieve offshore exposure in their investments.

This is a refresher course of knowledge that forms part of offshore investments and exchange control regulations and the available options for clients

Once you have successfully completed this course, you will be able to:
  1. Explain the limitations imposed on institutional investors when investing abroad and discuss relevant regulation.
  2. Explain the limitations imposed on South African retail investors when investing directly abroad.
  3. Apply knowledge of the options available to investors to obtain offshore exposure for their investment portfolios.
